During this year away from the trumpet, I decided to start experimenting with electronic music, loops, Logic Pro, etc.

The title, "Scene From My Dreams", comes my recent interest in film music. I've noticed as I continue to compose music about real life experiences, it gets more difficult to categorize. Also, as I've watched movies of the past few years, I've been amazed at the affect music can have on a scene.

I've tried to make the titles to each track self-explanatory.

I'm not going to write a lot about this music. I think it's for listening. If you have questions about the music, contact me. I'll be happy to answer your questions.

I do have enough tracks right now for vol. 2 & 3. I need to clean up those tracks a bit before I release them for download.

Cancer? Now What? by Neil Stalnaker

On December 16, 2013, I sat in a cafe in Tokyo thinking about
the ordeal with throat cancer over the past two years and the
lingering effects from my first experience with stage IV throat
cancer in 1991. The following is stream of consciousness writing
from an afternoon in Shinjuku (Tokyo).
